Artist Biography: Jean Lambert-Rucki was a pivotal figure in the Parisian avant-garde. Born in Poland, he moved to Montparnasse in 1911, befriending Modigliani and Soutine. A member of the UAM (Union des Artistes Modernes), he is famous for his collaborations with Jean Dunand and his unique ability to merge Art Deco elegance with primitive and cubist forms.
