A beautiful French table lamp from the Art Deco period. The fine lamp features a gorgeous sea lion playing with the lamp shade shaped as a ball, based on a marble plaque. It has been signed Carvin on the marble by the artist Louis Albert Carvin (1875-1951). He was a French sculptor, student of Emmanuel Fremiet (1824-1910), specialist of animal sculpture.
The sea lion has been cast from spelter.
