A beautiful antique Christian cross crafted in silvered bronze and richly adorned with delicate micro-mosaic inlays, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century.
This devotional piece combines symbolic artistry with refined craftsmanship, making it a rare and meaningful example of Christian religious art.
The cross features three-lobed (trefoil) terminals, traditionally representing the Holy Trinity. Each lobe is decorated with tiny floral motifs, symbolizing purity, eternal life, and the Passion of Christ.
The central body of the cross is embellished with several Arma Christi (Instruments of the Passion).
Among these symbols, the presence of three dice is especially remarkable — a reference to the Gospel of John (19:24), where Roman soldiers cast lots to divide Christ’s tunic. This motif is rare and highly sought-after, seldom seen on more common devotional crosses.
A beautiful and spiritually rich devotional object, ideal for collectors of sacred art, micro-mosaics, or symbolic Christian jewelry.
