Antique Pair of Gilded Bronze Wall Sconces Lighting Lamp
Antique Pair of Gilded Bronze Wall Sconces Lighting Lamp
Beautiful pair of gilded bronze wall sconces from the 1920s.
Each sconce is richly decorated with raised floral motifs, featuring finely detailed flowers, delicate leaves and sinuous stems. These elements evoke natural bouquets, typical of Art Nouveau influences.
Each sconce features three arms in the form of open flowers supporting candleholders. The arms are stylized to resemble flower corollas, a detail that adds a touch of poetry.
They are crafted in gilded bronze, with beautiful original gilding, and feature a glossy finish that accentuates their luxurious, timeless character.
The candleholders are fitted with faux resin candles. The sconces work.
Manufactured in the 1920s, they are part of a transitional period between Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles, with a strong penchant for floral and organic details.
They certainly come from a church or chapel.
Good vintage condition with some normal signs of ages, one flower is missing the tip of a pistil.
Please take a close look at the photos, they are an integral part of the description.
