Beautiful antique crucifix crafted from genuine mother of pearl and hallmarked solid silver, distinguished by its delicate workmanship and the elegant contrast between shimmering mother of pearl and silver.

The cross itself is made from genuine mother of pearl, displaying beautiful natural iridescent reflections that subtly change according to the light.

The front is adorned with a finely detailed solid silver figure of Jesus Christ, surmounted by the traditional INRI inscription.

One of the most distinctive features of this beautiful crucifix is its decoration: each of the four ends of the cross is adorned with a finely worked solid silver fleur-de-lis. These four fleur-de-lis ornaments give the piece a particularly refined and elegant appearance.

Additional silver mounts accent the different sections of the cross and beautifully contrast with the soft, luminous tones of the natural mother of pearl.

The piece is hallmarked solid silver.
The silver hallmark is located beneath the bail.

The bail and suspension ring allow the cross to be hung or worn as a large religious pendant.

The reverse reveals the natural mother-of-pearl surface and the original fixing points of the applied elements.

A beautiful example of antique French religious jewelry, ideal for collectors of antique crucifixes, Catholic devotional objects, religious jewelry and mother-of-pearl crosses.

Estimated period: late 19th century / early 20th century.
