Antique Joan of Arc Medal Signed Becker – French FIX Gold Plated Pendant – Art Nouveau c.1900 – Jeanne d’Arc

Beautiful small antique French Joan of Arc medal, signed Becker and bearing the FIX hallmark on the reverse.

The medal depicts Joan of Arc (Jeanne d’Arc) in profile, surrounded by an elegant sculptural composition characteristic of the French Art Nouveau period. To the left are the three French fleurs-de-lis beneath a crown, while flowing ribbons and ornamental details frame the portrait.

Despite its petite size, the medal displays remarkably fine detailing, particularly in Joan of Arc’s face, hair and surrounding decoration.

The reverse bears the distinctive oval FIX mark, associated with high-quality French gold-plated and gold-filled jewelry.

The medal is also signed Becker, referring to French sculptor, engraver and medalist Edmond-Henri Becker (1871-1971), whose work is associated with the Art Nouveau period.
