Charming antique Art Nouveau photo locket dating to circa 1900, crafted in gilt metal.
The openwork frame features a beautiful floral and botanical design, with flowing lines, delicate flowers and graceful curves typical of the Art Nouveau aesthetic of the early 20th century.
At the center is a slightly domed glass cover, originally designed to protect a small photograph, portrait or treasured keepsake. The reverse is secured with small tabs, typical of antique photo pendants of this period.
A suspension ring at the top allows the piece to be worn as a pendant on a chain or ribbon.
The locket is in good antique condition, showing only gentle signs of age consistent with a piece more than a century old. Please refer to the photographs for details.
