This brooch is a magnificent example of the Art Nouveau style. It features a blue cabochon marbled with pate de verre in the center. The cabochon is surrounded by a finely crafted metal motif of ornate leaves rising gracefully on either side, typical of the natural motifs often used in Art Nouveau. The leaves are executed in great detail, with well-defined veins, evoking an organic and elegant aesthetic.
